Beautiful copy of the '' Die Medaille zur Erinnering an den 1 Oktober 1939 '', the second of the three so-called '' Flower Wars '' medals. This decoration, authorized on October 18, 1938, commemorated the annexation of the Sudeten region to the German empire, which took place on October 1 after the Munich conference sanctioned the cession of this territory to Germany by Czechoslovakia. The medal was issued to all those who had participated in this annexation, and were mainly soldiers of the Wehrmacht and the SS. Subsequently, the award of this medal was also extended to all those who had participated in the creation of the protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The awarding of these honors was definitively suspended on December 1, 1939; in total 1,162,617 were released.
