Splendid 1st class Iron Cross reintroduced by Kaiser Wilhelm II on 05 August 1914 for every rank and rank of the German Imperial Army on the occasion of the First World War and also worn in the Second World War by veterans enlisted in the German Army. The convex version was ordered from jewelers and of fine workmanship and particularly appreciated for its shape. The conferral of the Iron Cross of 1st cl. it resulted from acts of heroism, displays of courage or leadership. During the second conflict, in the case of conferring the same decoration, a special reconfirmation badge was given and not a new Iron Cross. The cross was applied on the left side of the jacket above any other decoration.
